Masjid prayer timings by MPTime
Last updated · May 2026This Privacy Policy describes how MPTime (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MPTime mobile application on Android (the “App”). By using MPTime, you agree to the practices described on this page.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the App and improve your experience.
| Imam account data | If you register as an Imam or masjid administrator, we collect your full name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), account role, and masjid association details you provide when adding or managing a listing. |

| Worshipper preferences | Selected city and country (chosen manually in the App — not GPS), language settings, favorite masjids, and prayer reminder settings are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. |
| Masjid & community data | Masjid names, areas, cities, addresses, prayer timings, announcements, and related details submitted by Imams or verified contributors are stored in our cloud database and are visible to other App users. |
| Support messages | If you contact us by email or through the in-app support form, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your name, email, and message content). |
| Device location | We do not collect, store, or track your GPS or precise device location. MPTime does not request location permissions. The “Location” tab shows masjid listings and opens Google Maps using masjid names and addresses — it does not read your coordinates. |
2. How we use your information
- Display accurate congregation timings and masjid information for your selected city.
- Authenticate Imams and allow them to manage masjid listings, timings, and announcements.
- Send optional prayer-time notification reminders that you configure on your device.
- Respond to support requests and account-related inquiries.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve App performance and stability.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
MPTime displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect and use certain information automatically — such as device identifiers, IP address, and approximate location — to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. You can learn more about how Google uses data for advertising at Google Ads & data.
4. Third-party services
MPTime relies on trusted third parties to operate:
- Google Firebase — authentication and cloud database for Imam accounts and masjid data.
- Google AdMob — in-app advertising (see section 3).
- Google Maps — when you tap a map link, you leave MPTime and open Google Maps in a separate app or browser. We do not receive your location from Google Maps.
Each third party has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their policies.
5. Data sharing & disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your private worshipper preferences (stored on your device) with third parties.
We may disclose information only when:
- Masjid profiles, prayer times, and public announcements are shown to all App users (by design).
- Required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users and the service.
- Necessary to operate third-party services listed above (e.g., Firebase, AdMob).
6. Data security & storage
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL) and secure Firebase infrastructure — to protect Imam account data stored in the cloud.
Worshipper data such as favorites, reminders, and city selection are kept on your device using local storage and are not synced to our servers unless you explicitly provide information through support or account registration.
7. Data retention & deletion
Imam account and profile data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

Email deletion requestVerified deletion requests are processed within 30 days. To remove local data immediately, uninstall MPTime or clear app storage in Android Settings → Apps → MPTime → Storage.
8. Children’s privacy
MPTime is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of MPTime after changes means you accept the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
